Wonderful ambient light Maarten. I really like the over-the-shoulder view and perspective as well. I think it brings the viewer into the scene as a participant rather than a image viewer.

Great shot - I feel like I'm there too. Excellent dof in this light. Terrific! I see that although we don't share camera makes, we do share a love of a lens of a certain focal length! My 35mm is certainly my favourite!

This image was also taken on the "Grote markt" in Brussels. And the man... yes... was also waiting for someone. He called, waited, called again, waited some more etc... And all that in the rain !

Tech info : image converted to b&w with lightroom - lens correction + resize + a little bit of sharpening in photoshop
