- This is a beutiful infinity shot. The colour is gorgeous. It is amazing that a tunnel of this length would be dug, just for pedestrians. That is so civilized.

Such a fantastic perspective the likes of which I have not seen for some time. This is a marvelous shot Maarten and if only those two people were in front of that shadowed arch I think it would have been absolutely complete. The tone/colour is superb and adds a very constructed feel and quality to the impression. The soft reflective light cast from the mains lights adds an extra compression of the perspective closing it down even more to an infinite point.

An endless tunnel, constructed to connect people on both sides of the water, enabling them to work, laugh, play and live together !
The image was shot in Antwerp, Belgium and shows the "Sint-Annatunnel". A construction of 572m (or 1876.64 feet) connecting the left and right part of the city that are separated by the river "de Schelde". The tunnel was built between 1931 and 1933.
Processing of the image was done in Lightroom (color processing etc...) with some extra contrast and usm in photoshop.
