A few days ago, I decided that I wanted to shoot some B&W photos on real film. My initial idea was to shoot the rolls, then bring them to the store to get them developed. But when I tolded the guy in the store that I wanted an old look, grain and contrast he convinced me to do it on my own. I ended up with a developing tank (Patterson), chemicals (Rodinal + Fixer) and 4 Afga APX400 films... I quickly went to the city center to shoot my first film and when I came home I just couldn't wait... First time in a dark room, opening the film holder, putting it in the developing tank... what an adventure :-) Then preparing the chemicals, shaking the developing tank, timing... WOW... before I started I was a bit stressed, but in the end it felt so good, so relaxing...

The result was then scanned in a Minolta Dimage Dual Scan II ; this is one of my first photos. Only treatment in photoshop : rotated few degrees + crop afterwards and resize to post on this blog - that's it !
